Earrings are one of the oldest accessories and its significance has only increased with passing time. They are quite popular and for good reasons. Earrings are convenient, easy to carry and can take any outfit up a notch!

1) Studs
Studs are the definition of class in this category. The reason being they are suitable with any type of look and are perfect to go for when you don't have time to accessorize your outfit. Studs are the only type of earrings that doesn't dangle down and are worn close to the earlobe. The post (back pin) of the stud passes through the ear piercing and the stud is secured (closed) using the backlings. The post of stud could be either be a simple push back pin or screw type.
Best suited with: Formal wear and outfits with neck detailing. Though studs are the safe choice to be teamed up with just anything.

2) Hoops
Hoops are one of the trendiest accessories and every girl should have at least one pair of hoops. Hoops as the name indicates are the ring-shaped earrings, circular or semi-circular. Hoops can have different types of closures such as push back or latch, which completely depends on the hoops design. They add a dimension to your face and make you look effortlessly elegant. As this trend is getting popular, hoops of different sizes (smallest to oversized), shapes (perfect circles to ovals to hearts or other geometric shapes) and creatively embellished versions are available amongst the hoops selection.

3) Drops
Drops are an extended version of studs. They are vertical shaped earrings which ‘drop’ below your earlobes. Drop earrings are found in variety as some of them are considerably low and others hang slightly below your earlobes. Drops earrings have post (back pins) along with backlings just like the studs. Drops are extremely versatile and are very commonly used. They are found as ethnic as well as western jewelry pieces.

4) Tear drops
Tear drop earrings are a family member of drop earrings. Just like the latter, they fall below your earlobes however, the only difference is that they are in shape of a tear and hence the name. They make great party accessory and go well at night parties. You can even skip neck accessories if you are wearing them as it gives a minimalist yet classic look.

5) Danglers
Danglers are the earrings of any length small or really long, anything that hangs below ear lobe and dangles or swings side ways or to and fro. Basically the earrings that “dangle”! Danglers can have simple single chain strand attached with a pearl or gemstone hanging at the lower end or can have multiple hanging stands that dangle.

6) Chandeliers
These are a type of dangle earrings but more elaborate version. These are the danglers that look like chandeliers, the most elegant and grand style of earrings. These often are luxuriously studded with gemstones to sparkle like typical chandeliers.

7) Threader

They look best on people having long necks and bring attention towards your collarbones, as are generally longer.

8) Ear cuffs
Ear cuffs are probably the latest and the sexiest ear accessory. They cover the outer curve of your ear giving a quirky yet stylish appeal. Ear cuffs can be found from embellished ones to the simple ones. They can have multiple connections so that they do not fall off from your ear. Ear cuffs can either have press clips or can simply be the ones which need to slide from behind of ear cartilage, therefore requiring no piercing. Depending on the style, the ear cuffs are often worn in single ear (instead of a pair) especially when the style is more elaborate/statement.

9) Huggies
The type of earrings that you wear really close to your ears, encircling the lobe. These literally ‘hug’ your ears, hence the name ‘huggies’. They can have latch or hinge closure. These are one of the most common type of earrings which have never gone out of trend.
