Russian pyrite ammonite
Russian pyrite ammonite is a fascinating stone whose origin goes back to Jurrasic period which is 145-201 million years ago. During that period, a large number of ammonites died because of presence of iron. The reaction between iron and sulphur present in the water formed iron pyrite and replaced each cell of the dead ammonites which lead to the creation of this stone.
