Malachite

The name is derived from greek word ‘moloche’ that means ‘mallow’ as the stone color is same as mallow leaves, though its found in light to dark shades of green, with banded patterns around it.

Malachite a green copper carbonite was amongst the first ores used to produce copper metal, apart from being valued as a gemstone for carved ornaments. Today due to its scarcity, its only utilized for purposes which make best use of its rich properties.
